Lepac Laboratory in Clinical Analysis

The Teaching and Research Laboratory in Clinical Analysis (Laboratório de Ensino e Pesquisa em Análises Clínicas - Lepac) at UEM is the reference laboratory in the Northwest of Paraná, receiving patients from 115 cities. Last year, 35,500 patients were treated and 98,000 laboratory tests were performed.

Lepac performs tests to detect diseases such as COVID-19, leishmaniasis, hepatitis (types A, B and C), dengue, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, deep mycoses, cervical cancer, among others. In the case of AIDS, the laboratory also monitors the progression or regression of the disease in the body, through control tests of T CD4 lymphocyte cells.
