The Graduate Program in Nursing (PSE) from UEM will qualify professors from a Chilean university

Partnership for the PhD degree involves an International Cooperation Program approved by Capes

The Graduate Program in Nursing (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem - PSE) got the approval from the Coordination of Higher Education Personnel Improvement (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - Capes) to develop an International Interinstitutional Cooperation Program (Programa de Cooperação Interinstitucional Internacional - PCI) with the Antofagasta University, Chile. The partnership involves the execution of a doctorate program for undergraduate staff in Nursing, from the Chilean university.

According to PSE's coordinator, Maria Aparecida Salci, eight professors are enrolled in the program offered by UEM. Classes start in March and the program will last 48 months, as advised by the Brazilian legislation. The Cooperation Program provides for missions from the PSE professors in Antofagasta-Chile and the receiving of the Chilean students from the PhD Program at UEM in a period of student mobility.

"This process of professional qualification of Chilean staff raises challenges and offers us advances of mutual knowledge, exchanges and visibility of PSE and UEM, in the national and international context. It also encourages us to develop innovative work with excellence and social solidarity", says Maria Aparecida Salci.
