In the city of Maringá (PR), the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - UEM) has a Technical Center for Irrigation (Centro Técnico de Irrigação), associated with the Center for Agricultural Sciences (Centro de Ciências Agrárias - CCA). It was created to publicize and disseminate new irrigation technologies and practices, housing many irrigation systems, laboratories and greenhouses.
