History Graduate Program

The History Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em História – PPH) holds the objectives of educating researchers of excellence in the area, producing historical knowledge of relevance to society and disseminating Brazilian historiographic production internationally. The program has an outstanding research infrastructure, and the academic staff has been developing exchanges with several Brazilian and foreign institutions to expand projects funded by national and international agencies. Additionally, it is responsible for publishing one of the best academic journals in the area: the Diálogos Journal (www.uem.br/dialogos). The staff should also be highlighted by its participation in extracurricular activities as members of editorial boards of scientific journals, of Brazilian and international publishers, and of high councils of funding agencies. The Program has received score 4 in the evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – CAPES).
