Professional National Master's Program in Physics

The Professional National Master's Program in Physics (Programa de Mestrado Nacional Profissional em Ensino de Física - MNPEF) is a national professional graduate program for Elementary Education and high school teachers, whose main focus is on aspects and contents of Physics. It is an initiative of the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF) with the purpose of coordinating different capabilities presented by several Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) situated throughout the country. At a master's degree level, the aim is enabling the greatest fraction of Elementary Education teachers to master the contents of Physics and teaching current methods to be applied in the classroom, such as strategies that use electronic, technological and/or computer media resources for information, motivation, experimentation and demonstrations of different physical phenomena.
