Master’s Program and Doctoral Program
The master's degree program was created by the resolution n.099/98-CEP, beginning its activities in 1999, and the Mathematics Doctoral Program was founded by resolution n. 011/09-COU, beginning its activities in 2010.
The Mathematics Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-graduação em Matemática - PMA) offers Master's and Doctoral degrees in Mathematics in the following areas: Algebra, Analysis, Geometry and Topology, and Applied Mathematics.
The Program, in both levels, is recommended by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) and evaluated with score 5.
The PMA has the main objective of creating and spreading knowledge in the field of Mathematics, effectively contributing to the formation of skilled professors and researchers in the field of Mathematics, as to attend to the needs of society in general.
