The Chemical Engineering Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Química – PEQ) has received score 6 in the quadrennial evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – CAPES). Therefore, it is part of an exclusive group of Graduate Programs considered by CAPES to be of excellence.
The main purpose of the Program is to qualify professors, researchers, and other professionals to develop varied activities grounded on a solid education in the fundamentals of Chemical Engineering, and to meet the increasing demand for highly qualified professionals in universities, research centers and industries. This Program also aims to produce scientific and technological knowledge in order to contribute to regional and national development.
